Michael Treschow
Michael Treschow joined Atlas Copco AB in 1975. During his 22-year career with this company he spent three years in the United States as Area Manager. He became President and Chief Executive Officer of the company in 1991.
In 1997 he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Electrolux, a position he held until 2002.
Board Mandates
Mr. Treschow is Chairman of the board of Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson and Chairman of Unilever NV and Unilever PLC.
He is a member of the Supervisory Board of ABB Ltd., board member of the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and member of the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences.
Since August 2008 he is a member of the European Advisory Board of Eli Lilly and company.
He previously held Non-Executive roles with Investor, Atlas Copco, SKF and Parker-Hannifin Corp.
Mr. Treschow was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Electrolux between 2003 and 2007 and Chairman of the Swedish Confederation of Enterprise between 2004 and 2007.
He has been Chairman of the Swedish Trade Council and of the Transatlantic Business Dialogue (TABD).
Awards
Mr. Treschow was awarded the King’s Medal of the Twelfth Dimension with the Ribbon of the Order of the Seraphims for excellent efforts in Swedish trade issues.
He has also been awarded Spanish, French and Belgian orders for strengthening the trade relations between Sweden and these countries. |
