Krister Svensson

Krister Svensson

Krister Svensson is Swedish and holds a Masters in Macroeconomics and Computer Science from the University of Lund.

He started his career in the computer industry in Sweden before moving to Brussels as CIO for Honeywell’s EMEA division. He founded an executive search firm in Belgium which had become the country’s largest independent search consultancy when he sold it to Spencer Stuart in 1994.

At Spencer Stuart, Mr. Svensson gained extensive CEO and board recruitment experience. He managed the firm’s European Technology Practice and worked on cross-border and global assignments. Mr. Svensson left the search business in 1999 to develop a talent-centric career service for senior business leaders. CMi was born out of this research.

Philippe Haspeslagh

Philippe Haspeslagh

Professor Philippe Haspeslagh is Belgian and holds an MBA and a DBA from the Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar.

He joined the INSEAD faculty in 1979 and has been visiting professor at the Stanford Business School and the Harvard Business School.

Professor Haspeslagh has consulted widely on strategic planning, acquisition management and managing for value and published several award winning books. He advises companies on board effectiveness and conducts board reviews in addition to being chairman and non-executive director of several listed and private equity companies. He has been member of the board of INSEAD and directs INSEAD’s annual International Director’s Forum.

Jaap Winter

Jaap Winter

Jaap Winter is Dutch and a partner at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, the leading law firm in the Netherlands.

He is professor of international company law at the university of Amsterdam and visiting professor at Columbia Law School in New York. Mr. Winter advises corporate clients and institutional investors on corporate governance developments in the Netherlands and in Europe.

He is a member of the European Corporate Governance Forum, set up by the European Commission and a member of the Supervisory Board of the AFM, the Dutch securities regulator.
